Met “The Secret” keert ‘the legendary music icon and magical master’ Alan Parsons terug naar de pop / rock sound (‘with symphonic and progressive interludes’) waarmee The Alan Parsons Project zo bekend mee is geworden. Na een afwezigheid van 15 jaar toont Parsons aan zijn muzikale toverstaf nog niet te zijn verloren.
Naast de stem van Parsons zelf, heeft hij uiteraard weer veel gastzangers. Jason Mraz, Todd Cooper, Mark Mikel, PJ Olsson, Jordan Huffman, Jared Mahone en Lou Gramm brengen met hun vocalen de veelal uitbundige, orchestrale, cinematische en sfeervolle stukken naar nog grotere hoogten.
