Kris Barras Band brengen lyric video uit voor 'These  Voices'

Kris Barras Band onthullen vandaag “These Voices”, het derde nummer van het nieuwe studio album Death Valley Paradise, dat uitkomt op 4 maart 2022 via Mascot Records/ Mascot Label Group. Bekijk hier de lyric video voor "These Voices”.

Death Valley Paradise begon als een nummer voordat het in meerdere stukken werd ontleed en verspreid over het album. Death Valley is een plaats van uitersten, waar levende wezens niet zouden kunnen overleven. "To survive and thrive in those circumstances and find your paradise in it. For me, it sums up the journey I've been through. As a musician, you were put into a place where it was hard to survive, and you had to do different things to keep it moving, " licht Barras toe.

Het album, geproduceerd door Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Bury Tomorrow, SiKth) en opgenomen in de VADA Studios in Alcester, is donkerder en harder dan de voorgaande albums van de band. “These Voices,” vat deze kant van Barras perfect samen. Het nummer opent met de volgende lyrics, “In my head, turning deaf from the silence. Abandoned hope, all alone, I’m lost in a crowd, and I’m burning out,” as it builds to the anthemic chorus, “scream out distant memories, they’re reminding me I should let go.”

Dit is één van de door Barras zelfgeschreven nummers op het album, hierover vertelt hij: “This song is one of my favourites from the album and perhaps one of the most personal to me. I wrote this over the Xmas period of 2020 and it’s about those niggling voices that you get in your head. The one’s that tell you, you can’t do something, the one’s that make you second guess every decision you make. We love playing this one live, the riff is always a classic head banging moment of the set!”

Barras besloot op dit album te gaan samenwerken met tekstschrijver-zwaargewichten zoals; Jonny Andrews (Three Days Grace, Fozzy), Bob Marlette (Alice Cooper, Airbourne, Rob Zombie), Blair Daly (Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry) en Zac Maloy (Shinedown, Tyler Bryant)

Het visitekaartje van het album is “My Parade”, het protestlied van de band. "It says this is my parade, but it's collective, it's our parade," zegt Barras. "This is my life, and this is how I'm gonna live it and if you don't like it. Fuck off." Over album opener “Dead Horses” vertelt Barras, "It's about the acceptance of a relationship that's just run its course

De band heeft een nieuwe ritmesectie met Billy Hammett (Drums) en Kelpie Mackenzie (Bass) samen met Kris Barras (Lead Vocals/Guitar) en Josiah J. Manning (Rhythm Guitars/ Vocals).

De band zal in maart 2022 ook hun grootste tour door het Verenigd Koningrijk maken tot nu toe met 15 shows. Te beginnen op 8 maart in Exeter voor de eerste van twee shows in de Phoenix en eindigend in de Electric Ballroom in Londen op 26 maart.
