Northern California hard hitters Extinguish have been bringing brutality to the hardcore scene since their inception in 2016. Their 2021 self-titled EP and 2022 promo drop “Seed Of Evil” cemented a sound steeped in death metal, metalcore, hardcore and everything heavy in between. Today, the band shares a new single “One Less Enemy” and announces their LP of the same name on DAZE, set to release on May 17th.

Recorded with Charles Toshio at Panda Studios, “One Less Enemy” is a dark and brutal track that sets the tone for the songs that will appear on the upcoming LP. Taking inspiration from groups like 100 Demons, Kickback and Hatebreed, the group also taps into a ‘90s death metal sound that pulls their new single in a particularly vicious direction. Crushing drums and menacing vocals pulverize the listener, supporting the angular riffs that form a wall of metallic fury. All this brutality comes from a decidedly authentic place, with the main inspiration for the album being, as the band puts it, “doing more dope shit with our friends and other bands we love.”
