Rock Werchter Encore is an additional one-day festival, a special encore to celebrate the return of the festivals in Werchter. Although we still think it’s a great idea and despite our earlier general optimism, the timing was just not right. Well, since we never shrink from a challenge, we are making a virtue out of necessity by expanding the TW Classic programme on Saturday, 25 June, with headliner Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, adding The Barn and KluB C to the mix, along with part of the line-up of the Rock Werchter Encore. The return of the festivals will be celebrated with an XL version of TW Classic on Saturday, 25 June. Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Placebo, The Smile, Courtney Barnett, Sleaford Mods and Whispering Sons were already on the TW Classic bill. They will be joined by Florence + the Machine, The Kid Laroi, The Specials, Zwangere Guy, Intergalactic Lovers, Sky Ferreira, Noordkaap (just added!), AG Club and Sylvie Kreusch. Any tickets for Rock Werchter Encore provide entry to TW Classic on Saturday 25 June. Rock Werchter Encore ticketholders unable to attend on Saturday 25 June, can request a refund of their Rock Werchter Encore ticket via Ticketmaster. The Festivalpark in Werchter is getting ready for lively and exciting times. On Sunday 19 June it’s the sold-out Werchter Boutique with Stromae, Gorillaz and more. From 30 June to 3 July, Rock Werchter – also sold out for months – is taking place.
