BURNT SHERPA, the solo project of Greg Green has released "Sugar Rush". The song is a touching ode to his wife in honor of her birthday.

Greg comments: "I wrote "Sugar Rush" after inheriting a guitar after my father-in-law's passing. The song is about my wife and references moments from our almost 22-year marriage. This tune wasn't originally going to be on 'Last or Later,' but when I was putting together the dates for the single releases, the third one fell on her birthday. So, I had to put it out that day (April 23rd), and it's a total surprise for her--she's never heard the song and knows nothing about it.

The first time I saw my wife was in the high school cafeteria when she walked through wearing these red Guess? jeans. A couple of years ago, she stumbled across the picture that is now the single's cover, wearing the same jeans.

Out of the three singles, this one is probably my favorite because of its early Smashing Pumpkins vibe and, obviously, because of the subject matter. But it's not a sappy love song. It's more of a chronicling of the ups and downs of a long relationship and the things we tell each other over the years."

About BURNT SHERPA:
Based in Houston, Texas, BURNT SHERPA is the project of Greg Green, a founding member and former bass player of the stoner rock outfit MR. PLOW. After the band released their album, Maintain Radio Silence on Ripple Music, in 2018, Greg found that he couldn't keep up with the demands of the band and reluctantly bowed out. BURNT SHERPA began as a way for Greg to finish some demo ideas from the PLOW years but soon developed into a full-blown project. He enlisted the help of producer Dean Dichoso (CANDLEBOX), and the EP Last or Later was born.
