At the end of last year, Douglas Firs suddenly returned with a new single, the warmly received 'Lazy Heart'. Now follows 'Back To That Day', an ultimate ode to love. The new album 'Happy Pt. 2' will be released on August 30th via Excelsior.

"I have never written a song about my girlfriend," says Gertjan Van Hellemont, "out of fear of breaking the magic. So far, I've only written about love that was already broken, probably because it's scarier to write about something that shouldn't break. But here is my ode to Jolien, love of my life, mother of my son, and - brace yourself - twins on the way."

'Back To That Day' takes you back to that very first day you met your beloved, which is exactly what 16 couples of all ages, backgrounds, and orientations do in the accompanying music video. Love suddenly looks deliciously simple and universal when you see all those people looking at each other in the same way. By the way, we also recognize Karsten from 'The 90s for Teens', who you see here as a professional dancer with his girlfriend.

The Budapest Art Orchestra, as with 'Lazy Heart', plays a beautiful string arrangement by Wietse Meys, supplemented with an epic guitar solo by Gertjan with Jinte Deprez (Balthazar) on violin. We hear Simon Casier on bass and steel drum, Laurens Billiet on drums, Senne Guns on synth, and Roos Denayer (Rosa Butsi) singing backing vocals.

Kevin Ratterman (Strand of Oaks, Ray Lamontagne) mixed the song in L.A.
Fred Kevorkian (Joan As Police Woman, The National) mastered it in New York.
