Last evening The BRIT Awards celebrated an incredible show, uplifting the very best of British and International talent over the past year and enjoying an array of unmissable performances. Some live from The O2 Arena, while others performed remotely due to the current situation.

Taylor Swift was given the BRITs Global Icon Award, which is the highest accolade given and is reserved for truly exceptional artists. Taylor becomes the first female artist to become a recipient with previous winners being Elton John, Robbie Williams and David Bowie. She was given this award in recognition of her immense impact on music across the world and incredible repertoire and achievements to date! Taylor is the UK's biggest-selling artist of the year to date in 2021. She has sold over 114 million albums worldwide with total global audio and video streams reaching 78 billion.

Also Billie Eilish beat a very impressive group of nominees for Best International Female Solo Artist at the 2021 BRIT Awards. The 19-year-old singer accepted her trophy from home. “It’s an honor the BRITs were so magical for me last year and I think about it all the time. Thank you very much, I miss you. Can’t until I can’t come back. ” the Bad Guy hitmaker said in this heartfelt acceptance speech.

Last year, Billie won the same category and left fans stunned with her first live performance of her hit James Bond theme No Time To Die.

It was also a great evening for The Weeknd, who won his first BRIT Award for International Male Solo Artist. The Canadian singer beat out Bruce Springsteen, Burna Boy, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala. He was nominated in the category in 2016 and 2017. Besides winning an award, The Weeknd also brought a live performance of "Save Your Tears" of his latest album After Hours.

Haim, the US pop-rock band consisting of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana, also snagged a prize at the ceremony, winning International Group for the very first time.

Olivia Rodrigo lent the Brit Awards her first live TV performance of "Driver’s License" After walking on the Brits’ red carpet in a lime green dress, Rodrigo became the woman in red as she sang her breakout hit on a stage at the O2 Arena, surrounded by blue digital butterflies as she sang her tale of teen romantic woe. Another spectacular live performance was the one by Elton John and Years &Years, who brought a cover of "It's A Sin". A Stuart Price-produced studio version has also been released to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
