Southern California alternative rock band Dirty Heads’ single “Rescue Me” is spending its 4th consecutive week at #1 on the Billboard alternative radio chart, released on Better Noise Music. “Rescue Me” is also the 10th most played song on Alternative radio in 2023. This is the band’s second #1 hit of their career, after the track “Lay Me Down” featuring Rome, topped the charts for 10 weeks in 2010. This new milestone marks the band’s 4th top 5 single at Alternative radio, and a career first for Dirty Heads having back-to-back top 5 airplay singles from the album Midnight Control – “Life’s Been Good” and “Rescue Me”.
In 2023 Dirty Heads released the digital deluxe version of their album Midnight Control, featuring 23 tracks including acoustic versions of hit songs “Rescue Me”, “Life’s Been Good” and “Island Glow”, Lo-Fi versions of 3 album tracks, 3 unreleased songs and more in addition to all 10 tracks from the original album. Featured artists include Monsieur Periné, Ivy Miller (Ivuss) and Alex Vince.
Dirty Heads recently performed their Top 5 hit “Life’s Been Good” and “Rescue Me” on the Today Show sponsored by Citi. Before the performance, Hosts Hoda & Jenna presented the band with a RIAA platinum plaque for their hit “Vacation” which sparked a TikTok trend, acknowledging sales of more than 1 million digital downloads since its release by Better Noise Music. The band’s take on Eagles founding member Joe Walsh’s classic “Life’s Been Good” has been streamed over 17 million times since its release and climbed to the Top 5 on the Mediabase Alternative chart.
Dirty Heads are currently out streaming some of the biggest alternative acts in the U.S., with over 2 BILLION total streams on-demand + programmed. Worldwide, the band has over 1.29 MILLION digital track sales and 2.6 BILLION on-demand streams since 2018.
