Amsterdam based singer-songwriter, Cosmic Crooner, releases his most romantic and wistful single yet; ‘Bolero’, out on November 19th. Showcasing a stellar song writing talent, ‘Bolero’ is a contrast to the mysterious undertones of his previous release, ‘Popsicle Place’. Cinematic strings paired with a passionate percussion emphasize the vocal line as the Crooner continues his exploration of European film scores, resulting in a gentle transcendental piece, enhanced by the twinkling arpeggios in the piano, solidifying the song’s ethereal feel.

"I wanted to create the most romantic song I ever made. Bolero was inspired by 60s French and Italian movies and their scores. Also, Jacques Brel and Roy Orbison were an inspiration while writing the song. The matching video is completely shot on film and stars the Crooner eating and dancing surrounded by marvelous sea vistas." - Cosmic Crooner

Cosmic Crooner previously released two singles: his debut single 'Deep Down in Jazz' and successor 'Popsicle Place'. Both singles received airplay on both British and Dutch national radio. The songs were added to various editorial playlists, resulting in almost 90.000 streams. Cosmic Crooner also received a lot of international press attention; Music For The Misfits, Popwrapped, Reel Culture Magazine and The Luna Collective said they would love to have another taste of the Crooner.

Shot entirely on film, the accompanying music video filmed in Italy leans into 60s cinema aesthetic. The quotidian content of Crooner sat alone eating contrasts with the song’s passionate lyrics and as the singer-songwriter eats and dances in isolation there’s a real sense of vulnerability that perfectly conveys the intimacy of the love he’s singing about. In this third single, Cosmic Crooner is truly showing his vast array of capabilities as a songwriter, turning his hand from jazz and rock n’ roll to this romantic and orchestral cinematic ballad.
