Yves Paquet is a versatile Belgian music artist with Brazilian roots who has written songs and lent his vocals to djs such as Alok, Vintage Culture, Aeroplane, Barely Alive, The Subs and many more. His first solo single ‘Nightshift’ has been played at all the major radio stations in Belgium and has entered the official Belgian Urban Charts after being supported by Hardwell.
In 2016 he won the European Song contest with the song ‘Meine Stadt’. In 2017 he had the huge opportunity to perform at the Villamix Festival in Brazil and also at the famous club Green Valley. This year, he was finalist at ‘De Nieuwe Lichting’ on Studio Brussel and his collaboration with The Subs ‘UFO’ was also hotshot on this radio station.

The innovative track blends different styles and languages in a way similar to recent hit songs such as ‘Taki Taki’ or ‘Despacito’.
To find inspiration for the song, Yves travelled to Brazil where he collaborated with Brazilian heavyweight rapper MC Bin Laden, reigning ruler of São Paulo’s Baile Funk scene (with almost 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify!).
The Portuguese sung track truly represents the sound of the favela in all its facets – rough around the edges in all the right ways, yet smooth like a hot summer day.
