There's a sensual sting in the air via the brand new single "Viper Room" from Melbourne rock powerhouses Thornhill, out today via UNFD.

A palpitating fusion of swagger, driving beats and swooning melodics alongside razor-sharp guitars, "Viper Room" is Thornhill at their most potent to date, drawing to mind the feverish urgency of early Muse with the trademark Thorny rock'n'roll wizardry. Also accompanied by a brand new music video featuring a lurid narrative worthy of Hollywood's own infamous Viper Room, "Viper Room" lavishly introduces the first new Thornhill material since their ARIA-nominated 2022 album "Heroine"; and it's a theatrical rock masterstroke.

Of their brand new single, Thornhill share: "Viper Room discusses a one sided urge to keep pursuing an individual out of stubborn lust and fear, even when given explicit warning to move on."

Via their ARIA Award-nominated 2022 album "Heroine", Thornhill solidified an undeniable reputation as one of the most innovative and immersive heavy acts in the Australian scene. Debuting at #3 on the ARIA Album chart, "Heroine" also debuted at #1 on the Australian Album chart, and has since had more than 8.5 million streams to date.

Rounding out a huge 2022 appearing at Good Things Festival with headliners Bring Me The Horizon and many more in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Thornhill also ticked off some of their biggest Australian shows to date last year, selling out most of their headline tour, supporting The Butterfly Effect nationally, and performing their first ever US headline shows on the East Coast alongside supporting ERRA and Alpha Wolf.

Amassing a heaving array of accolades over the years, including triple j's Feature Album and additions to countless Best Of The Year listings for their 2019 release The Dark Pool, Thornhill completed a regional Australian headline tour earlier this year as well as a mammoth North American run supporting The Plot In You and a performance in the UK for Radar Fest alongside Sleep Token, Monuments and many more.

Now poised to hit the road nationally this October for their Prom Queen City headline tour with special guests the Holding Absence (UK), Thousand Below (USA) and Bloom, fans will also be able to secure their very own slice of curated Thornhill paraphernalia, with a pop up shop featuring the brand new Thornhill Thread Collective collection opening in Fitzroy the weekend before "Viper Room"'s release. For those who couldn't make it, all the pop up items from the Thornhill Thread Collective will be made available on Thornhill.World for 24 hours only from 12pm AEDT time today.
