8 years after the huge success of Stromae's acclaimed second album ‘racine carrée’ (+5.6M albums sold worldwide), the multi awarded artist made a surprise comeback one week ago with new single 'Santé'. The song is a toast to the heroes of working class. It’s a thank you to all people who grind through their day without too much notice.

The music video for Santé reached over 7,5 million views since release and is still #1 trending on Youtube.

The video captures several workers as they get on with their day. We watch little victories and failures that they experience at work and at home. This seemingly quiet reality is disrupted with the introduction of illustrated “fun tutorials”. Schematic in their appearance, these tutorials describe ways to have a good time -by having a shot, kissing a girl or throwing a dance move. Ultimately, they instruct the workers to join a dance ritual. The workers are little hesitant at first but they are gradually drawn into the fray. As the video progresses, the dance becomes more liberating, the workers turned dancers become exaltic with totally unexpected dance moves. Dance tutorials turn more bizarre and funny while we see the final stage of ecstasy unfold. Working class liberation is achieved thanks to Stromae's hypnotic rhythms. Stromae makes an enigmatic appearance through a series of stylised studio shots where he instructs audience how to to feel good.
