The track is the second to be taken from the bands forthcoming fourth studio album Desire, out on September 29 through Columbia Records.

Theo Hutchcraft said, "Ready To Go is a song about living life to the fullest. The video, in contrast, deals with grief and the difficulty a lot of men face when dealing with their emotions. Something which is particularly problematic in the North of England, where we shot the video. Hopefully both the song and the video carry a positive message about celebrating life “.

Whilst the first two Hurts album in particular were bathed in a dense, gothic atmosphere, third album Surrender saw the band branch out into new and different territories. And this theme continues throughout new offering, Desire, with songs like Chaperone, People Like Us and infectious second single Ready To Go showing a more focussed band than ever before.

Following their triumphant career start in 2010 with their debut album Happiness and breakthrough single Wonderful Life, Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson then released two further albums - Exile (2013) and Surrender (2015) - which spawned many international hit singles (including Some Kind of Heaven and Nothing Will Be Bigger Than Us) and airplay hits, while their concerts are hailed as the most innovative live events in recent years.

The track 'Beautiful Ones' which the band describe as a “celebration of individuality”, arrives alongside a startling video, written by and starring the bands singer Theo Hutchcraft.

Having established themselves as one of the most popular and successful pop acts throughout Europe - scoring top ten albums and numerous hit singles in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Ireland, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Finland, the Netherlands and the UK – Hurts also recently announced their biggest tour to date which opens this October.
