Coming off hit-single ‘Roma’ choirboy Glints announces his as-yet-untitled sophomore album, set for release on April 28 via [PIAS] and today release his brand new single All In. In this banger the characteristic operatic choirs and horns which recall his growing up as an opera choirboy merge with pounding and energetic drums to create a grandiose anthem. As per usual the track is produced by his beat-brother-in-arms Yong Yello. Who else?

All In is both a motivational anthem and a mission statement. At the same time, it’s a letter to his parents who had it less easy growing up. Thanking them for everything they did for him, explaining how their upbringing is what led him to do what he’s doing today. Even though his choices and the risks he’s taking might at times be hard to understand for them.

Glints is a Belgian rapper and singer. He’s a member of the ‘Abattoir Anvers’ collective, that operates out of a defunct halal slaughterhouse in Antwerp. Everything from production, to artwork, to shooting videos happens in-house, by members of the collective.

Glints has a distinct UK accent, as the language was always around growing up, thanks to his British aunt and nephews. He took many trips across the pond to London, visiting his surrogate family, which resulted in his signature British speech. Growing up as a choirboy in the opera, he is not your everyday rapper. This background informs his unique style: Fusing grandiose choirs and operatic elements with beats and fierce raps.

In 2020 Glints released his debut album ‘Choirboy’ which he presented in a sold-out AB. The album was produced by his beat-brother-in-arms Yong Yello, also a member of the Abattoir Anvers collective. The collaboration resulted in successful singles such as ‘Bugatti’, ‘Gold Veins’ and ‘Lemonade Money’.

After a short covid-induced hiatus the two finally reunited in the summer of 2022 with the single ‘Roma’. A bit more mature, a bit more grandiose. Brand new track All In does not stray from the path; epic, cinematic and hungry as a wolf!
