Following the release of his acclaimed EP Not As I, George FitzGerald ended last year on a high with an electrifying set at fabric as part of his Rinse residency alongside the likes of Mount Kimbie and Prospa. Welcoming the New Year in in the same fashion, today he releases brand new single, “Gleams”.

Written last summer during his travels around Germany and France, “Gleams” is a propulsive, beatific house track; a sound both nostalgic and new. George says of the track: “I was thinking back to the continental house records that I loved so much in the 00s, and the hours spent in record shops in Paris and Berlin discovering them. This is my take on those memories.”

George FitzGerald is a singular voice in electronic music, uniting underground dancefloor progressivism with pop’s cutting edges for over a decade. 2023 saw the release of his spell-binding EP, Not As I, which included the acclaimed single “Mother” ft. Lana Del Rey collaborator SYML (aka Brian Fennell), praised by the likes of Pete Tong, Clara Amfo, Steve Lamaq and the Evening Standard. Quick on its heels came remixes from rising star of the Australian underground dance scene, Pretty Girl and legendary American producer, DJ Shadow.

A master in reframing his work through new collaborations, George has also worked with the likes of Panda Bear, London Grammar, SOAK, Bonobo and Everything But the Girl’s Tracey Thorn.

Not As I is available to save digitally and order as a limited edition 12” now, each hand numbered by George himself. Order: Dom Mart | Digital.
