Today, Fleet Foxes’ fourth studio album Shore is out on all physical formats in Europe and the United Kingdom. The band’ fourth studio album was surprise-released digitally on, September 22nd, 2020 - on the Autumnal Equinox.

Shore was recorded before and during quarantine in Hudson (NY), Paris, Los Angeles, Long Island City and New York City from September 2018 until September 2020 with the help of recording and production engineer Beatriz Artola. The fifteen song, fifty-five minute Shore was initially inspired by frontman Robin Pecknold’s musical heroes such as Arthur Russell, Nina Simone, Sam Cooke, Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guebrou and more who, in his experience, celebrated life in the face of death.

In addition to the album, a 16 mm road movie of the same name by Kersti Jan Werdal that showcases the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest set to the score of the album is available to view at https://fleetfoxes.co.

Since the digital release, Fleet Foxes released three videos for the first two singles “Can I Believe You” and “Sunblind” and most recently for “I’m Not My Season”.

On December 11th, they performed on Late Show with Stephen Colbert, accompanied by Resistance Revival Chorus. The breathtaking performance was filmed at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, NY and you can watch it HERE.

On December 21st, Fleet Foxes held ‘A Very Lonely Solstice Livestream’, the band’s first official livestream after the Shore’s digital release. The critically acclaimed show featured a solo acoustic performance by Robin Pecknold which The Guardian called "a balm" and stated that Robin Pecknold “lights up this bleakest of winters". Uncut said it was “stunning” and added it was "the most compelling livestream event since Nick Cave’s Idiot Prayern".

Praised by critics upon release, Shore topped year-end lists securing spots in the top 5 in Uncut, 6Music and Mojo, Uproxx, and placing on numerous lists including The New Yorker, NPR, Pitchfork, USA Today, Stereogum, Rolling Stone, and more stateside.

Shore is available for purchase in all local record stores and online HERE.
