The story of Elswhere may read like the script of a Hollywood movie, but the fourpiece from Enfield, London really have exploded from nowhere. There aren’t many bands who progress from formation to a record deal and a single release in just a matter of months. Their whirlwind journey is testament to their immense talent and relentless dedication to their craft.
Elswhere have released a music video for their debut single ‘This One’s For You’ taken from their forthcoming EP. The single was produced by Elswhere and mixed and mastered by Romesh Dodangoda who has worked with the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine and more.
Ethan, the band’s frontman, says this about the track “'This One’s for You' is dedicated to every person in the world who is in need of a friend. It’s about being there for not just the ones you love, but anyone who is in need of help. Whatever it is that anybody in this world is going through, there will always be help there. Whether it’s from family, a friend or a professional. We hope this song can contribute to helping reassure that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Nobody is alone, no matter what”.
While Ethan, Jack, Matt and Ben might seem like your regular boys next door, the sound they create together is ferocious. Their music takes on elements of nu-metal, pop-punk and alt-rock, interwoven with themes of tragedy and loss. Whether live or recorded, listening to 'Elswhere' is a powerful and emotive experience.
