24hrs (known as Twenty) penned a letter to listeners about his foray into electronic dance music.

“I feel blessed to have achieved success in the Hip-Hop community and to be able to consider some of the biggest names in the Hip-Hop world my mentors and friends. I feel like I’m at a place musically where things are evolving and I’m ready to take it to another level. There are so many genres of music and so many different areas and grey spots in music, but I hear electronic dance music speaking the loudest to me.

Over my career, I’ve done a lot of studying and listening to what I liked the most in the electronic scene. I’m trying to share a sound I don’t hear anyone else doing but that’s 100% honest to who I am. I’ve chosen Dim Mak to be my musical home in the electronic dance music scene because I see a big family spirit at the label under the leadership of Steve Aoki. There’s a real vibe and atmosphere for the love of music without any boundaries and rules over there which is what I’m all about.

The first single I’m dropping today is called Plus One and it features the legendary Nasty C and is produced by two iconic producers in the electronic & reggaeton scene, Twin Palms. This record came together really naturally for me. Me and Nasty C have always wanted to jump on a record together and after meeting Twin Palms, they brought the sound together for us and it was only up from there.

I first performed the record at Academy in LA and it's been buzzing ever since. For me, “Plus One,” only tells part of the story. What I’m trying to do musically and the sound that will be reflected on my upcoming album is gonna be a mix of Hip-Hop, R&B, House, bass house, and hardstyle. It’s 100% 24hrs-meets-dance music. It’s gonna be Twenty but with sounds and producers that I haven’t worked with before.

My goal with this project is to show everyone that if you love something, stick with it. Music evolves and there's no ceiling or roof to where you can go with your music. I hope you enjoy my music as much as I love the incredible dance music community.”
