GRAMMY® Award-winning, acclaimed alternative rock luminaries, The Smashing Pumpkins have dropped “Solara”, the first recording in over 18 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin and longtime Smashing Pumpkins guitarist, Jeff Schroeder. Recorded in Malibu, CA at Shangri La Studios with producer Rick Rubin, “Solara” is available now to stream and download on all digital music platforms via Martha’s Music under license to Napalm Records. “Solara” also made its network television debut this week on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon [LINK].

This year The Smashing Pumpkins will embark on the Shiny And Oh So Bright Arena Tour including a brand new UK date in London at The SSE Arena, Wembley on 16th October. The tour is the band’s first in nearly 20 years to feature founding members Corgan, Chamberlin, and Iha. Longtime Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder, bassist Jack Bates, and keyboardist Katie Cole will also take part, as the band moves to a three guitar lineup to better emulate the signature tones and textures of their albums. The Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour hits North American arenas on July 12, 2018 before heading its way to the UK this autumn. On August 2, the band will also perform a special 30th anniversary show at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.

Formed in Chicago, IL in 1988, The Smashing Pumpkins released their heralded debut album Gish in 1991 and found mainstream success with 1993’s 4x multi-platinum Siamese Dream and 1995’s 10x multi-platinum Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. With nine studio albums and over 30 million albums sold to date, the GRAMMY®, MTV VMA, and American Music Award winning band remains one of the most influential bands in history.
