Fresh off his US debut tour, established UK dance music DJ-producer NOTION continues to move forward with his evolved sound, dropping new jungle infused rhythm ‘BACKBONE’ ft. talented singer-songwriter Olivia Rose.
Whilst ‘GRAVITY’ captured the essence of heavenly garage breakdowns and R&B vocals, and ‘TV DREAMS’ played with hypnotic house club sounds that saw the support of Conducta, salute, Disclosure and Ewan McVicar, NOTION now moves into jungle territories on this next single.
NOTION is constantly shaping his sound, which has continued to rack up millions of streams to his name. Recently, his viral hit ‘Found Love’ reached Silver Certification amassing over 43M streams whilst his first single this year, ‘Was It Enough’ with Eljé, has achieved over 200K plays and support from Jaguar, Charlie Tee, Jeremiah Asiamah and BBC Introducing across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra plus more.
Having road tested his new music on his debut US tour where he also played on the same lineup as US staple Hamdi, NOTION’s in demand sound will see him return for another exciting run of shows this summer including HARD Summer in Los Angeles. Back on home turf, NOTION’s show schedule continues to grow with fresh dates for Love Saves The Day and Reading + Leeds Festival plus more. The end of last year also saw NOTION take on his AU and NZ tour including a set at Beyond the Valley which whilst it saw him clash with Peggy Gou, he managed to pack out the arena with over 10K people attending, demonstrating the appeal for his versatile sound.
Meanwhile, his own Dance Dubs project consists of special dubs across Soundcloud and Bandcamp primed for the dance floor, an eight date sold out UK tour and boat party, with a radio show in the pipeline. His Skepta dub on Soundcloud is causing a stir amongst fans and DJs with over 500K plays, and has allowed NOTION to build a loyal fanbase with over 2K fans signing up to his broadcast community.
