Absolute desert rock icon BRANT BJORK (former Kyuss and Fu Manchu) is unveiling his thirteenth solo album in its entirety courtesy of Revolver Magazine. Reviving the true spirit of rock with an unprecedented sense of groove –the one and only Brant Bjork Groove – new album "Mankind Woman" is landing September 14th on Heavy Psych Sounds Records.

"Mankind Woman" is BRANT BJORK's first ever release on European independent powerhouse Heavy Psych Sounds Records. This 11-track gem – already described as his catchiest to date – presents the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist's take on 60s and 70s music era. Joined by long-time friend and Low Desert Punk musician Bubba Dupree, Brant Bjork blends the finest of his classic rock, rhythm'n'blues and funk influences to craft a groovy, hook-laden record that adds to a prolific and always heat-warming collection of records from the legendary desert rocker. Revolver Magazine states: "Mankind Woman showcases the talents of two lifelong passionate music lovers looking forward rather than mining their respective past successes."

  • "Mankind Woman finds the desert rock legend rediscovering his footing by planting his feet firmly in the past." - Decibel Magazine (USA)
  • "A warm, embracing record that crackles and fizzes and invites you into the room with it." - Shindig! Magazine (UK)
  • "‘Mankind Woman’ ranks right up there as one of the very best releases of his career so far. Superb!" - Uberrock (UK)
  • "Like a travel in time into the 60's and 70's: Hypnotic guitar riffs and the distinctive groove of the stoner icon Brant Bjork, you won't get out of your ears!" - RCN Magazin (De)
  • "Who always wanted to know how the compressed musical version of the 1969-Woodstock line up sounds, will find all answers in 'Mankind Woman'." - Metal Hammer Germany
