De veelbelovende indie band Truthpaste heeft deze week de komst van hun debuut-EP angekondigd, de EP I Don’t Know Either komt 28 april uit. De band bestaat uit vijf multi-instrumentalisten, en een drumcomputer, die pop, akoestische folk en elektronica combineren. Met Friendship Is The Truth laten ze hun harmonische kant horen. Het is een track die over de jaren heen met de bandleden is mee gegroeid tot de vorm die hij nu heeft. Hierover vertelt frontvrouw Esmé Lark:
“Euan and Claire played it to us once, then we got distracted for a couple years, but I would find myself singing it and trying to figure out what it was. I was very happy to finally piece it together last summer. It felt like the right time for it to form as we have all become very good friends over the last couple of years and it is indeed the friendship song."
