Pastel Blank, de band rondom de songwriter Angus Watt, heeft de track Dopamine gedeeld. Dit is de derde single van zijn plaat Unmade in Minutes. Voor dit album benadert Pastel Blank popmuziek met een experimentele blik en vermengt deze met de scherpe randen van post-punk. Ondanks deze contrasterende mix, vind zijn muziek ook altijd een aanstekelijke groove.
Hij deelde bewust deze eerste drie tracks, omdat ze thematisch gaan over verslaving en controle, dat hij dan wel weer luchtig weet te verpakken in scherpe teksten. Hij vertelt hier zelf over:
“I think of the first three tracks of this album act as siblings to each other,” says Watt. “They’re all kind of circling around the same themes of addiction and control (or lack there of). A friend pointed out a guitar riff towards the end of 'Dopamine' is reminiscent of the 'Magic School Bus' theme song.”
