Major Lazer lanceert vandaag de officiële muziekvideo voor hun laatste single Lay Your Head On Me met Marcus Mumford. De clip is hartverwarmend en toont een multiculturele samenleving die het hoofd hoog houdt tijdens deze moeilijke periode.
Voor deze clip werkte regisseur Filip Nilsson samen met de choreograaf Ryan Heffington (LSD, Sia, Florence & The Machine, FKA Twigs, Christine & The Queens) en selecteerden ze artiesten van over de hele wereld om mee te doen. Het resultaat is een verzameling van 177 clips, ingezonden uit 28 landen. Naast Major Lazer en Marcus Mumford verschijnen o.a. ook de Australische vader en zoon van de familie Bauer, gymnast Chritian Stoinev en zijn hond, het Israëlische pop duo Lola Marsh en de populaire Russische TikTokker Aaloha_leha.
Quote Nilsson: “When we started working with this simple idea over a month ago COVID-19 had just started to get a grip of the world. During these weeks we have seen tapes from people all over the world. The response was way more than could have been expected and it was amazing to see the different interpretations of what we requested from people. It’s so touching that all these people took the time to learn the dance routine or to play the music in such a short amount of time. The positivity and honest love they shared is something I really wanted to come through in this video.”
