K1D is niet op zijn mond gevallen wanneer de discussie over discriminatie en racisme gaat. De laatste weken is hij één van de luidste stemmen geweest van lokale Black Lives Matter-beweging. In #RIOT rapt K1D over de steun en de hype die BLM momenteel krijgt en vraagt zich af of dit momentum wel oprecht is. Willen de mensen die de boodschap delen écht verandering? Of draait het toch allemaal om likes?

I want to use this moment to grab everybodys attention and tell em that while this might be “new” to them and for some a “hype” for people of colour this is everyday life. This is a battle we been fighting for centuries. This is all we know. There is a big energy shift happening over the world. And i want peoples intentions to be pure from the heart and not for likes or clickbait. If we join forces we can stop the oppression but that energy cant only come from people with colour. We need to hear the whole world. KEEP THE SAME ENERGY FOR LIFE!

K1D is een zelfverzekerd talent dat furore maakt in de Hiphopscene. Dit voorjaar bracht hij ‘LONELY HOUR(S) 2’ uit met de catchy track ‘JUICY (feat. MAMA)’. Hij belooft energetische, wilde shows met spontane moshpits en bewees zijn kunnen op de podia van de Melkweg in Amsterdam en de Ancienne Belgique in Brussel, maar ook op festivals zoals Woo Hah!, Pukkelpop, Fire Is Gold, Crammerock ende Lokerse Feesten. Dit jaar tekende K1D bij Warner Music Benelux, in samenwerking met Classic Releases.
