Vandaag is het nieuwe album Daddy's Home van St. Vincent verschenen. Dit is het zesde studioalbum van de Amerikaanse artieste en de opvolgers van haar album MASSEDUCTION uit 2017. Eerder verschenen al de singles Pay Your Way in Pain, The Melting of the Sun en recentelijk nog Down.
De inspiratie van Daddy's Home haalde St. Vincent uit de platenkast van haar vader die na een gevangenschap van 9 jaar vrijgelaten werd in 2019. Deze vinylplaten, die ze sinds haar jeugd beluisterde, namen haar in gedachten mee naar het sepiakleurige New York tijdens de jaren '70.
De nummers die ze schreef tijdens zijn gevangenschap resulteren uiteindelijk in het nieuwe album Daddy's Home.

Daddy’s Home werd geproduceerd door Annie Clark en Jack Antonoff, opgenomen door Laura Sisk, gemixt door Cian Riordan en gemasterd door Chris Gehringer. De muziek werd uitgevoerd door Annie, Jack, Cian, Thomas, Evan Smith, Sam KS, Greg Leisz, Daniel Hart, Michael Leonhart, Lynne Fiddmont en Kenya Hathaway.
