Originally released in 2013, Yousef & The Angel’s ‘Float Away’ was widely regarded as one of the biggest tunes on the underground dance music scene at the time. Fast forward 8 years and the UK based producer, DJ, promoter and label head revisits the track for a special remake, out now via FFRR.
Regarded as one of the world’s foremost electronic music artists, Yousef is known and loved for his effervescent personality, supreme skills and confidence as a selector. His position as a producer of high-quality electronic anthems, is equally as authentic with his prolific output over the years seeing him release on labels such as Cocoon, Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels, Moon Harbour, Desolat, Saved and many more, not to mention copious releases on his own label, Circus Recordings.

Taking the opportunity to revisit his 2013 classic, ‘Float Away’ is brought into the modern day of electronic music and given new depth, revitalised drums patterns and elevated vocals glide across the all too familiar strings of the original that sent dancefloors into raptures on its first release.
‘Float Away’ stays true to Yousef’s artistic vision and ambition, in which he strives to push electronic music forward to the next level, whilst taking the next generation of artists, producers and DJs with him. The updated track is a clear representation of Yousef’s ambition to do so and also evidence that he has his finger on the pulse of the global scene. The track also received a first play to a crowd at the government led test events ran by Yousef’s own Circus Events, the successful ‘The First Dance’ show.
With a further remix of the single to come and alongside Yousef’s key role in making sure the UK’s nightlife economy is restarted in a post-covid world, 2021 has allowed him to show that through resilience, determination and positivity anything can be achieved.
