New Album “What I’ll Leave Behind” Due Out September 20

Armed with futuristic ferocity, groundbreaking Melbourne metalcore group Void Of Vision explode with an exhilarating new single and video Blood For Blood, out today via UNFD and announce a Melbourne headline show on Sunday 15 September at The Bergy Bandroom. Tickets are on sale now.

Taken from the quartet's upcoming fourth studio album "What I'll Leave Behind", due out on September 20, "Blood For Blood" erupts in a scathing and irresistible cacophony of saturated riffs, relentless beats and a rave-ready outro, gripping from start to finish with its intensity and acidic execution.

Joining recent singles "Gamma Knife", "Empty" and "Angel of Darkness" in the lead up to the anticipated release of "What I'll Leave Behind", "Blood For Blood" also veraciously unpacks a strenuous overarching reality for the band, and vocalist Jack Bergin in particular, creating and releasing music against a volatile backdrop.

"I entered a phase viewing music as a literal bloodsport" shares Bergin. "We were losing close friends to suicide, dealing with our own mental health struggles internally, and losing support from those around us all as I was completely off the map dealing with my own health issues."

"Everything was an uphill battle and I had to tackle it while navigating through the criticism and unwanted feedback from an over-privileged 'fanbase' who seem to care more about the drama than they ever did about the music alone."

"The modern-day pressures of sustaining a career in music while honouring our creative processes and maintaining our well-being practices are becoming harder and harder as how we consume art continuously shifts, but I really don't think people who DON'T create will ever understand that."

"As long as the disconnect exists I will continue to struggle to relate or sympathise for those who couldn't care less, and I'm exhausted trying to."

A stupefying collecting of explosive riffs, viscous textures and serrated metalcore, "What I'll Leave Behind" finds Void Of Vision barrelling their trademark sounds into brand new territory, redefining modern heavy music through a sharp and compelling lens across the space of ten tracks.

Opening with the caustic bounce of Oblivion, "What I'll Leave Behind" journeys through melodic potency (Supernova), brooding reprieves (Beautiful Things) and unbridled, raw savagery (Decades), with the overall album gripping from start to finish with reckless abandon. And while seamlessly bridging the Void Of Vision trademarks from across their career to date, "What I'll Leave Behind" is ultimately a bold and assertive step into heavy infamy, and also powerfully captures the turbulent personal reality behind the scenes for frontman Jack Bergin.

Void Of Vision have solidified their standing as one of the most innovative and sonically explosive acts in the heavy scene for over a decade. From their debut EP, 2014's "Broken // Bones" through to 2016's "Children of Chrome", 2017's "Disturbia", 2019's "Hyperdaze" and the release of the amalgamated "CHRONICLES" series in 2023, a new future was heralded last year by the arrival of a standalone single "Angel Of Darkness"; an alt metal rager weighted equally by searing heaviness and pulsing pop, helmed by the titular Angel Of Darkness as the band's representative during the single's campaign
