The Las Vegas-based hard rock quintet Velvet Chains continues its unstoppable rise: With the brand-new video for “Hurt Me” and the recently released single “Dead in the Head,” the band is dropping two promising tracks that take their vision of rock to a whole new level. Following the massive success of their Top 20 hit “Dead Inside,” these releases mark the next major milestone for the international collective.

“Back In The Head” embodies everything Velvet Chains stands for: hypnotic melodies combined with a thunderous rhythm section and razor-sharp guitar riffs. The song channels the concentrated energy of the five musicians from three nations and solidifies their reputation as one of the most exciting new voices in the modern hard rock scene.

An Echo from the Depths: The Vision Behind the Song

“These songs come from the heart. ‘Dead in the Head’ and ‘Hurt Me’ are about overcoming confusion, pressure, and everything that threatens to overwhelm you. Especially in the music video for ‘Hurt Me,’ we tried to convey a sense of pain and struggle. Seeing how people connected with all of that live during our last tour was simply incredible.” - Nils Goldschmidt, Velvet Chains

Short biography:

Formed in 2021 in the vibrant music scene of Las Vegas, Velvet Chains have quickly made a name for themselves as a tireless live band. The quintet consists of Chaz Terra (vocals), Von Boldt (guitar), Jason Hope (drums), Chilean bassist Nils Goldschmidt, and Norwegian guitarist Philip Paulsen. With their EP “Morbid Dreams” (2022) and collaborations with rock legends such as Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses) and members of Duff McKagan’s Loaded, they proved their musical relevance early on. After touring with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators and performing at major festivals like Summer Breeze Brasil and the Blue Ridge Rock Fest, the band cemented their success in 2025: The single “Dead Inside” spent 22 weeks in the Top 20 of the Active Rock Charts. Loudwire rightly listed them as one of the bands to watch in 2026.

With millions of streams on platforms like Spotify (with “Last Drop” alone reaching over 600,000 streams) and a rapidly growing global fanbase, Velvet Chains have proven that rock music is a universal language. Their powerful, modern hard rock with grunge influences resonates worldwide with critics and fans alike.
