Formed in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Unholy Harakiri features the mix between members of two underground metal bands in Brazil, Yukio Hara and Raphael Gonçalves (Ex-Colwire) and Maikon Campioni (Athimia). The band's proposal is to reinvent the metal scene mixing a lot of weight, low tunings and a pinch of Asian culture, futuristic themes and cyberpunk.

In December 2020, the first single "Rakuin" is released by the Coffin Joe Records label, which features the opening track "Stigma (Rakuin)" and "Bloody Path" accompanying an Anime Music Video with scenes from the anime Berserk (Kentaro Miura) 1997, illustrating the song's theme.

With this debut, the band guaranteed good numbers in their media and streaming profiles, and is now preparing for the release of a series of singles, clips and a full album during the second half, until the end of 2022, to then start their launch tour. .

The latest single "Kintsugi" and its video were released at the end of April by the label "Coffin Joe Records" which will now also bring the next single, "Penumbra". The song "Penumbra" is one of the darkest tracks on the full album to be released, and the band's densest so far. The aesthetic continues to be inspired by Japanese art, but now with a greater sampling of the bleak perspective, dealing with an inner vision of a soul in decay, subjugated to an infinite horror amid the twilight of its agonized oblivion.
