On tour with Taxiwars

With the release of critically acclaimed EP “Delidomia” (2019), Tristan aka Isolde van den Bulcke, established herself as one of thé upcoming Belgian artists-to-watch, positioning herself on the borders of pop, jazz and ambient.

New Tristan track “Lesthic” was born out of a swing feel-oriented bass line, which Van den Bulcke decided to morph completely by putting a drum & bass beat under it and layering it with dark and industrial synths: “Lesthic is about a young woman who has been oppressing her feelings of lust, attraction and desire for a long time. From a very young age woman are being taught to not openly talk about their sexuality and be discrete about it. With this track I tried to reflect an atmosphere of self-imposed restraint which evolves into complete surrender and euphoria“.

The track will be accompanied by a video inspired on the series “The Handmaid’s Tale”, following Tristan’s incorporation in a sect of women, who perform ritual practices throughout the video, until things start to get out of control.
