Canadian hardcore punk band The Last Mile are hitting the road again, bringing their anthemic and unrelenting sound across Europe this July in support of their explosive new album, Holding On To Hope, out now via Thousand Islands Records and Pavones Records.

At the crossroads of raw intensity and heartfelt melody, The Last Mile have forged a path all their own. Their style defies categorization — too punk for the hardcore scene, too hardcore for the punk purists — but their live shows tell the full story. Relentless, cathartic, and full of sing-along energy, The Last Mile prove time and again why they’ve shared stages with acts like NOFX, Comeback Kid, Iron Chic, Satanic Surfers, and Title Fight, and earned spots at major festivals including FEST, Obenuse Fest, Rhinos Feroce, and Bearded Punk Fest.

Their sophomore album Holding On To Hope, recorded in Vancouver by longtime producer Jesse Gander (Brutus, Japandroids, Daggermouth) and mastered at The Blasting Room by Jason Livermore, is a powerful step forward. This record blends modern hardcore urgency with punk rock roots, exploring themes like grief, caregiving, gender inequality in music, emotional repression, and the toxicity of nostalgia. It’s a personal, political, and poetic statement — and it hits even harder live.
