Sweden's Electro Queen EMMON is back with the first single from the upcoming album “ICON”, following her success on the award-winning comeback album RECON from 2022.
The upcoming album “ICON” rises in the footsteps of “RECON” a continued exploration of humanity's raw brutality, with a bloody knife fight between emotions and psychology. Her melodious EBM/electro sound is sometimes a bit harder and rawer with a sublime touch of finesse.
Emma comments: “As EMMON has continuously been touring since the latest release in 2022 and as I really love to perform live me and my co-producer and partner Jimmy Monell (also the co-producer behind “KITE on ice”) developed the sound to become more energy driven and something that gives us really great kick on stage.”
The new single Speak to me is the first single from her upcoming album ICON.
“It’s a direct and brutal slap-in-the-face track, dressed up as a raw and punky EBM-rave anthem.”
Emma continues: “The content of the track is a mantra about refusing to live up to the world's unreasonable and contradictory beauty ideals that are constantly pumped out through social media. When our screens act like the 'mirror on the wall', it doesn't matter how much you twist and turn—because those ideals don't reflect reality, you’ll never be good enough anyway.”
Upcoming shows:
During the summer EMMON will show up at the Subkult festival in Vänersborg and the Eastside festival in Halle/Saale in Germany. During the autumn she has headlining shows at Klubb Död in Stockholm, Skeppet in Gothenburg and more dates in Germany.
