Simple Minds will triumphantly return to Suikerrock on Friday 1 August! After the sold out TW Classic concert this summer the Scottish band, centred around Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, will spoil its Belgian fans only one more time in 2014!
Last year Simple Minds returned with a new release: ‘Celebrate – The Greatest Hits + Collection’ gives a wonderful musical overview of the 35-year career of one of the greatest British rock bands ever. The album is a collection of classics like ‘Promised You A Miracle’ and ‘Glittering Prize’, but also ‘Waterfront’, ‘Sanctify Yourself’, ‘Belfast Child’, ‘Mandela Day’ and of course the hits ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ and ‘Alive & Kicking’. A tour followed the album’s release at the end of 2013. Tickets for the Belgian concerts in Forest National and the Lotto Arena were sold out in no time. Their announced festival gig at TW Classic this year was also sold out in 60 minutes.
This is why Simple Minds want to give their Belgian fans one more chance of seeing them perform in 2014. Note Friday 1 August in your diary: Simple Minds at Suikerrock 2014!
The 28th Win for Life Suikerrock takes place on Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August 2014 in the centre of Tienen.
