Long Beach, California's Stay Free Recordings will release a new collaboration from punk pioneer Glen Matlock and Earl Slick (famed guitarist, known for his work with David Bowie, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Robert Smith and various solo recordings) on March 5.

The single "Consequences Coming" * b/w "Constant Craving" (KD Lang cover)" will be limited to 200 pieces (100 in Orange, 100 in Black) and is now available to pre-order here: https://stayfreerecordings.bandcamp.com.

Matlock says, "Hi guys, gals and pop pickers. Here are a couple of songs myself and Earl Slick put down in a basement tapes meets the odd couple kind of vibe when Earl got stuck in lockdown in London with me in 2020. They are acoustic versions of a couple of songs from my new forthcoming full band album. One song is a newby called ‘Consequences Coming’ - as I hope there will be one day in the not too distant future and the other is our take on KD Lang’s glorious song of longing ‘Constant Craving’. I hope you dig them as much as we do in the spirit and circumstances they were recorded."

The release marks the 44th anniversary since Matlock left The Sex Pistols.

Stay Free Records founder Jon Halperin adds, "I was a fan of the Sex Pistols since 1981. Glen has always been such an icon to me. From the Pistols, to The Rich Kids, to playing with Iggy Pop, to his solo work, he never fails to disappoint. I helped book a three date acoustic tour for him a few years back, and when I started this label, I hit him up. Lucky for me, he had six hours of music recorded with Earl Slick during this pandemic. This record is an absolute bucket list for me."
