‘The Mermaids of Bergsjøn’ is the second single of Sohnarr. It was inspired by the mesmerizing orange landscapes of Norway during a long and breathtaking walk. “Tempted to enter deeper and deeper into the scenery as the cold killed my cellphone battery. I was left to my inner compass, lured by the chant of the mermaids of the lake of Bergsjøn.”

The videoclip offers the perfect form of escapism in these peculiar days. Guiding you through images of snowy mountains and glittering lakes, recorded by Patricia during her journey, you get a good impression of the effect of solitude and nature on the music of Sohnarr.

It is music that is made to be listened when and where it’s welcome. It doesn’t ask for space, but creates space. It’s music that doesn’t want to impose itself and lets itself be experienced in a place where time is allowed to stop ticking for a while.

The Sjel was created with that purpose, a place in which you could sit back, take a deep breath and disappear for a while while listening to Sohnarr, but had to close its doors temporarily seen the current situation. Nonetheless this is a time in which the essence of personal space has never been more tangible. What’s your personal spot where you find peace and quiet? Your private space, big or small, where you can just be, stare and vanish for a while? A place perhaps you once visited and which left a strong impression on you?
