She is dead has just released her first full album entitled "Story of lies" on all streaming platforms via Electric Funeral Records. The Brazilian band formed by Ricky Volpato (drums), Mau Carlakoski (vocals and guitar) and Kim Tonieto (bass and vocals), brings in their compositions the sound of punk and dirty rock in their first work, looking for references in punk variants rock, hardcore and alternative rock, bringing influences from bands like Dead Kennedys and Melvins.
"Story of lies" has as its main theme the daily losses and disappointments. The disc theme is very present in the lyrics of the songs, in excerpts like “and you can trust in me / but forget our dreams” of the song “forget our dreams or“ I wanna kill the monster / I wanna kill the past ”of the song of the album, “Living in my hate”. The tracks seek to bring a proposal of lost feeling, of searches and expectations that are often not reached, of dreams and plans left behind, treated with irony and a layer of acid humor.
The album was produced by Luiz Orta and recorded at Studio Caverão , the cover art was produced by designer Sofia Carlakoski and shows a family from the 70s on a walk to the city cemetery.
