REMEDY STATE presents ARETÉ, the second retreat from International Music Summit co-founder Ben Turner & former head of Skrillex’s OWSLA label, Blaise DeAngelo, aimed at artists and professionals in the Arts & Entertainment industry. ARETÉ is a Greek concept meaning "excellence through self-actualization" which centers on physical, mental and spiritual training and underlines the platform's message that a sound mind, body and soul are the keys to high performance, deep creativity, and a rich quality of life.

The second retreat will once again take place at Sa Talaia Agroturismo from May 20-22 2019 in the days preceding the 12th IMS event, with a very limited number of badges and hotel accommodation packages available for purchase from today. Badge prices start at 350 euros and will increase each month, and hotel packages start at 1200 euros.

“The impact of our first event on the electronic music industry was profound and its influence on the subsequent IMS Summit was huge. We touched a nerve and we wish to continue sharing our insight with a fascinating group of individuals who can transform your health and mind and in turn your business.” -- co-founder Ben Turner

Reinvigorated by Skiddle's recent September 2018 study, which showed that 40% of live music promoters have struggled with depression, REMEDY STATE presents ARETÉ will continue emphasizing wellbeing within the Arts & Entertainment industry through nutrition, exercise, sleep, mindfulness, holistic medicine and physical therapy, but with an additional focus on personal development, performance, creativity and self-actualization to help attendees reach their personal potential.

“We love music and the arts and want to support those around it to become the best possible versions of themselves. Being well is an important first step, and there’s still a lot of work to be done around wellness in the industry, but by expanding our focus around the ARETÉ concept, we believe we can help the industry not only heal, but excel.” -- co-founder Blaise DeAngelo.

In the spirit of this new expanded focus, the Remedy State team will be bringing a very special world-class speaker on peak performance and leadership who is a consultant to some of the world's most prestigious organizations including Google and Harvard, and many other new additions since last year. The full list of 2019 speakers, practitioners, and coaches will be announced in January.

Remedy State 2018 was supported by Pioneer DJ, Help Musicians UK, and Wellbeing Trust, and run in partnership with Pete Tong’s International Music Summit.

"We at Help Musicians UK want a world where musicians and people working in music thrive. Through our broad spectrum of services, we aim to offer holistic support to the industry and to keep mental health and wellbeing high on the agenda. So partnering with Remedy State for the inaugural retreat and experiencing the positive effect it had on those who attended was extra special. With our shared vision for sustaining the health and success of the industry we hope to affect meaningful and lasting change.
