Formerly available as a limited edition Record Store Day picture disc, Real Friends have now announced the digital release of their More Acoustic Songs EP.

In addition to providing fans with a further means to own these stripped back renditions, the release will see 5% of the profits donated to charities Hope For The Day and The Hinsdale Humane Society.

Speaking on the charities, frontman Dan Lambton has stated: "The unfortunate reality is that suicide has in some way or another affected most people. Hope For The Day is an amazing non profit that utilises music, film and various other art forms to raise awareness about suicide, depression, among other mental conditions. We are stoked to work more closely with them".

"Hinsdale Humane Society is an animal shelter in the western suburbs of Chicago. Having a pet is a very special thing, they treat you wil unconditional love and abstain from judgement. We are ecstatic to be able to help those who look after homeless, given up and sick pets".

About "More Acoustic Songs":

Real Friends are excited to announce their More Acoustic Songs EP, featuring stunning acoustic versions of 'Summer', 'I Don't Love You Anymore', 'Late Nights In My Car' (feat. This Wild Life's Kevin Jordan), and a cover of The Starting Line's 'Island'. Check out the band's video featuring exclusive clips of all four tracks.

"We are stoked to showcase our songs in acoustic form" says songwriter and bassist Kyle Fasel "The main reason we did this was for personal taste. We all have connected with acoustic music in the past and currently. It's also an added bonus to highlight these versions of our songs to our fans. It shows our songs in another light that we are very excited about sharing".

An exclusive vinyl picture disc release of the EP will be available on April 18th as part of Record Store Day (limited to 2,000 copies) at participating Record Store Day locations worldwide. Visit RecordStoreDay.com for all retail locations. The EP will also be available digitally from April 28th. 5% of proceeds from the digital edition through 2015 will be donated to Hope For The Day and Hinsdale Humane Society.
