Today, Rag’n’Bone Man, unveils his latest single, 'Pocket', the third single from his highly anticipated third studio album, ‘What Do You Believe In?’, set for release on October 18th.
Following the success of singles 'Rush of Blood' and 'What Do You Believe In?’', 'Pocket' comes as a deeply personal yet anthemic track that blends Rag’n’Bone Man’s signature soul-infused vocals with bold, uplifting production.
Along with a new lyrical collaboration with James Fauntleroy, the Grammy-winning songwriter known for working with stars such as Rihanna and Bruno Mars, ‘Pocket’ was sculpted alongside some old friends - the multi-talented Jonny Coffer, whose credits include everyone from Beyoncé to Kendrick Lamar, and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, who is also known for co-writing with Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes.
A ballad at heart, 'Pocket' explores themes of emotional depth, taking listeners on a journey through vulnerability and deep love.
Speaking on the track, Rory explains “It’s about someone who’s really got your back. If me and my missus go out, she’ll look at me and we’ll know it’s time to leave. I get uncomfortable in social situations, and it’s nice to have someone who knows you well enough that they can give you the excuse to leave. ‘Pocket’ is a similar thing, really. It's about a love that can physically and metaphorically pull you out of discomfort”. With ‘Pocket’ Rag’n’Bone Man’s knack for blending honest and authentic storytelling with wide-reaching, modern production is once again on full display, drawing fans deeper into the world of this new album.
