Missing your local bar in the midst of this pandemic? The guys in Captain Kaiser certainly are. The punk band hailing from the Belgian Kempen is known for its members spending many a night hanging out at the local bar and playing packed pub shows. They thought it was about time they payed tribute to their favorite drinking places.

The result is Moscow Mule. Captain Kaiser’s new single pays homage to the local bar, where the sun comes up again before you know it and the loyal bartender knows exactly the drink you want without asking. The video clip features the band dancing in front of their own local bar and a number of friends who were asked to do the same thing. You might recognize Equal Idiot’s Thibault Christiansen and Fleddy Melculy.

The band now challenges all local bar enthusiasts to do the same and share a video of themselves dancing in front of their own favorite bars. ‘Belgium traditionally has a major bar-loving culture and it goes without saying that we need to cherish it,’ says front man Sascha Vansant, a bartender himself.
