Chilean melodic metal band Pronoias continues to carve its path in the metal scene with the release of its latest music video, ‘Fortaleza’. More than just a visual production, this release reinforces the band’s identity while setting a new standard in the genre’s audiovisual storytelling, delivering a balance of raw power, deep emotion, and striking aesthetics.
Since forming in Viña del Mar in 2015, Pronoias has crafted a unique sound that blends progressive metal, power metal, and symphonic elements, creating an immersive experience with a distinct therapeutic essence. Comprised of Elizabeth Villegas (vocals), Danitza Villarroel (violin), Félix Barros (guitar), Mauricio Catalán (bass), Joaquín Ramírez (drums), and Lucas Salazar (keyboards), the band has become one of Latin America’s leading forces in the genre.

Reflecting on the song’s meaning, Elizabeth Villegas shares: "Many of us learn to stay quiet, to blend in, or to hide parts of ourselves out of fear of making others uncomfortable. But in the end, that stops us from truly believing in ourselves. The video mirrors that journey from insecurity to confidence, a transition from shadow to light. But rather than seeing darkness as something negative, we portray it as a necessary step toward discovering one’s own colors and voice".
For his part, Félix Barros adds: "Our goal is for this material to be a gateway to our universe, along with introducing the band's current lineup to the world. This video is the beginning of an internationalization strategy, with a special focus on Europe. This time, we decided to work with Abysmo Films, a production company specializing in music videos for metal bands, known for having worked with Helloween, Arch Enemy, Katatonia, Powerwolf, among other bands we greatly admire."
