Written, storyboarded, produced and directed by Pixies frontman Black Francis, “Um Chagga Lagga,” the new music video for the band’s album Head Carrier (released September 30/Pixiesmusic/Play It Again Sam), made its premiere last week. True to the song’s esoteric storyline, the part concept, part performance video is infused with a rousing, old-school Pixies urgency. You can view the video here.

Working with French filmmaker Louis Collins, Black Francis chose Toulouse, France as the video’s location, incorporating its scenic countrysides. With seven UK dates that sold out in mere minutes, Pixies are set to launch their UK/European tour on November 15 in Vienna, Austria. Complete dates are below.
