Today marks a turning point for neo-classical pianist Paulette Verlée, the musical alter ego of pianist-composer Veerle Pollet. With 'Mir' featuring the vocals of Gaëtan Vandewoude from Isbells, she releases her first song ever with vocals. The song was Inspired by the quiet companionship of a beloved dog. Veerle describes the song as a gentle ode to friendship, to the quiet warmth of feeling at home, no matter where you are.

"As I shaped the piano melody, I could hear soft vocals rising up, as if they had always been there. I asked Gaetan from Isbells if he would like to bring the song to life — he said yes without hesitation, and within less than a day, Mir was born. His lyrics tell the story of Chantal Acda’s dog, a steadfast companion who journeys the world by her side. And the funny thing is, he wrote the song without knowing that I actually know the dog too — in one way or another, we’re all connected. Mir became a tender reflection on loyalty and belonging, a song about the companions who walk with us and the small, precious moments that make the road feel like home."

Known for her poetic piano work and genre-blurring approach, Paulette Verlée invites listeners into a complementary worlds. Adrift, arriving in two weeks, evokes the hazy stillness of memory and distance. It consists of five intimate piano solo tracks, each unfolding like a quiet moment of reflection. Inspired by fleeting moments and drifting memories, the music invites you to lose yourself in its gentle current. From the opening mist of Haze to the lingering echoes of Linger, each track feels like a quiet revelation, suspended somewhere between dreaming and waking. Perfect for late-night listening or moments of stillness, Adrift offers a refuge for the wandering mind — a place where time slows down, and you can drift freely through sound and emotion.
