One year after the release of It Feels Like I Always Knew You, Pale Grey is celebrating the anniversary with a fully instrumental version, now available on all platforms.
A year after the original release, this instrumental edition offers a new way to enter the band’s world. Freed from vocals, the tracks highlight the richness of the arrangements, the precision of the textures, and the meticulous production work, giving full space to atmospheres and emotions. It’s a more open listening experience, ideal for contemplation, revealing details that may have gone unnoticed at first.
This release comes at a pivotal moment for the Belgian quartet. The year 2025 marked a turning point with the release of It Feels Like I Always Knew You and a series of notable highlights: a sold-out show at Ancienne Belgique in January, very positive press reviews, and an enthusiastic reception on festival stages. The tour also concluded with a standout date opening for Royel Otis, a striking artistic encounter.
The band’s third album, It Feels Like I Always Knew You, follows Waves and its millions of cumulative streams. At the crossroads of electronica, dream pop, and more abstract influences, the group crafts a melancholic universe deeply rooted in reality. Built around twelve first names, the album sketches as many human trajectories inspired by contemporary situations, questioning the fragilities and tensions of our modern societies.
In its instrumental version, these narratives fade away, giving way to a purely musical storytelling open to each listener’s interpretation.
