Heralding the release of his much-anticipated debut LP Cut and Paste, North London native Oscar is gearing up for the video release of his latest single Sometimes.

Shot in various locations in and around Los Angeles, the deliciously off-kilter Bryan Schlam directed video (whose previous credits include Kendrick Lamar and Flux Pavillion) finds Oscar on a fantastic journey through small town America, taking in a plethora of sights and sounds. Oscar’s energetic performance is matched perfectly by the weird and wonderful rag-tag bunch of people he meets along the way – including (in no particular order) a teenage vape club, a lawn bowling club and even a singles square dance team!

In the words of the director, Bryan Schlam: "Shooting sometimes was like taking a road trip. I wanted portraiture of the most obscure groups and clubs I could find to drive the video...And we literally had to drive for around three days to shoot everyone (at times for hours!). We ended up with a perfect mix of kitsch and beauty. Turns out Oscar is an amazing performer, holding his own in every set up, including competitive vapers immersing him in smoke rings, and square dancers improvising choreography."

The video beautifully illustrates Oscar’s offbeat songwriting and idiosyncratic milieu, and sets the tone perfectly for his full length debut, released in May on Wichita Recordings.

A fantastic journey through the West featuring the finest clubs and organistations, huge thanks to the groups (in order of appearance):

The Lawn Green Bowling Club

The River Side Live Steamers

The Valley View Vaulters

Cloudy Knights Vape Team

1st Impression Cheerleading Squad

The Cow Town Singles Squaredance Club

Mr P’s Lowrider Club
