Brace yourself for a serious dancefloor weapon: Melo Mechanics, the powerhouse new project from Ørjan Nilsen and Fingerling, debuts with “Gets Hard.” A bold fusion of raw tech house energy and a cutting-edge groove, this track hits with relentless attitude and a modern twist that demands attention. Built for the peak-time crowd, “Gets Hard” does exactly what the title promises.
Ørjan opens up about the project: “Vegar and I have always been into dance music's more techy and funky side, so we wanted to make something together and focus on the more underground and groovy styles. Being friends for decades made collaboration very easy. We dream of touring together and showing our interpretation of house music.”
Fingerling adds, “Me & Ørjan go way back! And we have always loved funky beats & basslines. We’ve talked about a real duo in the house genre for years. So during lockdown…it was like now or never feeling for me. And now, we’re here.”
Little did they know a house music legend like Fedde Le Grand would hear their work and sign it to his label.
Longtime best friends and studio collaborators, Norwegian DJs and producers Ørjan and Fingerling bring a rare chemistry to the project, forged through years of shared musical vision and mutual respect. With previous releases like “1 Like You” in 2019 amassing over 3 million streams on Spotify and “Fable” in 2013, the duo is now turning up the heat and reintroducing themselves under a new alias set to dominate dance floors worldwide.
Melo Mechanics’ first release, “Gets Hard,” rumbles through the house scene with a stellar groove, floor-shattering basslines, and techy vibe, signifying a lot more to come for this brand new duo.
