It was last June, Europe was cautiously stepping out of the lockdown, the sun was beating down on the city and summer was keeping all of its promises. Nicolas Michaux and his musicians had not seen each other for months, they were happy to meet again. They decided to play and record 5 songs from Michaux's new album: Amour Colère.
The joy of reunion then gave way to a suspended and concentrated moment. Recorded in the rehearsal room of Michaux and his « soldats de l’amour », in a former projection room of the Belgian army located in a Brussels park, this little film is an immersion in the unique and warm world of Nicolas Michaux. The session, through the finesse of the playing and arrangements, translates the songs of Amour Colère into versions that are both fragile and majestic.
