The dark rap stylings of YouTuber Nico Borie.
Renowned content creator and musician Nico Borie has just unveiled ‘De Mal En Peor’, the sophomore single from his new project NBX. This track marks a pivotal moment in his artistic trajectory. Coming hot on the heels of the band’s debut single, ‘Evolución’ (released last November), this new offering digs deeper into a sound that is noticeably darker, more intense, and undeniably versatile.
In ‘De Mal En Peor’, NBX skillfully weaves Spanish rap influences into a rock-solid Nu Metal foundation, resulting in a track brimming with raw energy and emotional grit. The lyrics tackle the search for answers amidst the wreckage of frustration, that breaking point where everything seems to go south before a final decision is made.
This single showcases a fresh side of NBX, featuring Borie as he steps out of his comfort zone to deliver rap verses that eventually explode into crushing, high-octane choruses. “I think we’ve all felt frustration and uncertainty at some point in our lives, whether from heartbreak or otherwise. It’s in that darkness where you suffer and see the worst in everything at first, only to later question whether to stay in that situation or move on. That’s the stage this song explores,” Borie explains.
NBX was born in 2024 under Borie’s direction, a man who needs no introduction thanks to his massive “Rock Traducido” project, which has garnered over 2 million followers by bringing English-language rock classics to the Spanish-speaking world. The band brings a modern edge to alternative rock, blending powerhouse vocals and rap with high-energy guitars and atmospheric synths.
The project features a tight collaboration with guitarist and producer Bastián Basaure, Borie’s main songwriting partner for NBX’s debut album, “Limina”, slated for a March 2026 release under the BZR label. The lineup is rounded out by the same seasoned musicians who back Borie in Rock Traducido: Darío Llancamán (bass), Kagno (lead guitar), and Álvaro Poblete (drums).
NBX represents the next logical step for Borie following his 2023 departure from the thrash metal outfit Parasyche. The project made its live debut on October 19, 2025, opening for the Japanese heavyweights SiM at the Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago, Chile, leaving a lasting mark on the local crowd.
