When blackness casts a veil over the lands and death and bane reach out for the defenseless mortals‘ souls with claws cold as ice, the end is near... or rather the beginning of Dark Metal‘s pitch-black triumphal march through Europe, led by the vanguards of their genre and flagship of their native country: Moonspell!
Worshiping darkness since the early 1990‘s, Portuguese metallers Moonspell have been imprinted in the hearts of all connoisseurs of metallic melancholy through more than a dozen of high-class releases, from the venerated debut EP “Under The Moonspell“, their breakthrough record “Irreligious“ and the chart topper “Memorial“ to their latest output, 2012‘s double album “Alpha Noir / Omega White“. Now that it‘s been a while since the last extensive tour of the Continent, it‘s high time to let the crowds taste some bittersweet damnation again, as founding member and front man Fernando Ribeiro agrees: “We are thrilled to announce to all the Moonspell fans out there that we‘ll be touring together with our brothers in Septicflesh. In doing so, we‘ll be supporting our upcoming brand-new album ‘Extinct‘, an emotional, existential journey reflecting on the hour of man‘s passing away and the prospect of no return. The Southern Europeans will be accompanied by their Greek companions in SEPTICFLESH, who‘ve let their new steam hammer ‘Titan‘ off the leash this June, impressively proving that even though some twenty years have passed since their inception they‘re still carrying the early days‘ blazing fire in their hearts. Those who‘ve already had the chance to experience the Greeks‘ bombastically orchestrated Symphonic Death Metal live in the past know what being kissed by a juggernaut feels like!
